Jaguar’s MY11 XK was undoubtedly one of the more attractive grand tourers on the market, but now it’s even more stylish, with several new changes that will no doubt translate into more Jaguar owners across the globe.

For starters the 2012 XK model gets the latest intelligent LED headlamp technology, which has allowed for lower profile headlamp assemblies, more along the lines of the styling on the svelte XJ flagship.

There’s also an updated interior, which is said to enhance the ‘the contemporary luxury feel of the XK’s cabin.’ As part of that update, buyers can option performance sports seats that offer 16-way adjustment, as well as heating, cooling and memory functions.

The must have option for the enthusiast buyer is the new ‘XKR Dynamic Pack’, which will undoubtedly sharpen what are already excellent handling characteristics of the XK model range.

CarAdvice will bring you driving impressions of the 2012 XK and XKR tomorrow evening from Portugal.

Good heavens! That is one seriously beautiful car. Dare I say it, on par with the svelte Astons.

Now if only we could get them here in OZ for the same price the Brits and Yanks pay for it – I would buy one in a heartbeat! However, I will have to wait for the huge depreciated ex-lease ones in a few years. Something to drive in my retirement…. :)

The front end looks MUCH better than the precious model. Seriously nice looking car now. With the old one I never like the headlights, they just looked wrong somehow.

I must say I liked the look of the old model but this really looks much better, without actually doing that much.

Is there anyone else preferring the bootlid to be separated from the back windows like Aston DB9? That hatch-style third door is just too…budget sportscar (Hyundai Tiburon, Celica, etc). Still a horny looking car tho, this one over Bentley Conti!
