New Hyundai i30 spy photos

Hyundai reinvented itself with the launch of the i30 back in 2007 and is now looking to do it all over again with the new one. It has been four years since the model was introduced, meaning an all-new replacement is due in the near future.

These photos taken yesterday show the a next-generation Hyundai i30 prototype undergoing tests as part of its development phase. We can see that it's sporting LED day-time running lights, a feature we've have seen on the new i40 already.

In fact, there are a number of design similarities between this mule and the i40 front-end, which is good thing as the i40 has been well received

From the back we can just see the implementation of new lights with LEDs placed horizontally. It's hard to know what the next generation i30 will look like based on this very well disguised mule, but we know for sure that it's definitely on its way.

There are no details regarding new engines or the possibility of a hybrid variant for the i30 range. Perhaps Hyundai will showcase a prototype of its new small car at the Frankfurt motorshow in September? Stay tuned.
