make no mistake the Vectra is awefull. GM practically admit it by retiring the nameplate.

The question remains will they stick a proper chassis underneath the new body?

Reckless – this will never have 15″ rims. Even now the minimum is 16″ for the base Club or LX model and anything above has 17″ and 18″ option.

Despite Clarkson damning of the current car which he later admitted wasn’t actually as bad as he made out, I have driven many a Mondeo(old Model) and the Vectra current model and the Vectra is ever-so slightly behind on the handling stakes but way ahead in the comfort and day to day driving performance, it is great cruiser on motorways. The old mondeo (you Aussies never had it) was hard and to harsh for day to day use with thumpy suspension and general hardness. Ford realised this and toned the sharpenss down a bit.

wow if hlden imports this they wont even need to make an add love the headlights and rear but it think tghat integrated spoiler will only be on sports models and maybe HSV will take the VXR version aswell as the corsa

looks good. better proportioned than the mondeo.

But how will it drive? Opels track record is not good the vectra was abysmal

Agree, the tail end is not really right. The rest looks great, but then most show vehicles with 20″ rims look the goods.
Then when you see the cooking model with 15″ or 16″ wheels the cars look crap, and I think this one will suffer that fate.

Like the Mazda 2 the rear lights are turned upwards (as it comes to the side of the car) and look a smidgeon odd. It is a sweet hot car none-the-less!
