Remember the Aznom Fiat 500 with the mid-mounted motor from a few week’s back? If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to drive in an open carpark, a video has just surfaced on YouTube showcasing just the thing.

Called the Aznom Fiat 500 Motore Centrale R230, it features a mid-mounted 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 179kW of power and 330Nm of torque – big power for such a little car. It also gets a five-speed manual transmission which is linked up to power the rear wheels instead of the front wheels like on a normal Fiat 500.

It’s a recipe for an all-out hoot of a drive. Take a look at the video below. Driver’s skill level aside, the car looks as though it handles rather well with the engine in the back. The setup is even capable of holding a fair drift without instantly spinning around on itself.

This one would have been much more credible $70K “Tribute to Ferrari”

Would be awesome to drive I reckon.
Shame the guy driving it is useless!

Nor really applicable these days. Many companies are pumping out genuine FWD performance cars at the moment.
