Video: Volkswagen Scirocco promo

Volkswagen has released a pair of promo videos of its new and hotly anticipated Scirocco.

The first of these two videos is a computer generated fly-by-wire tour of the Scirocco, and the second is a live action sequence boasting the performance of VW’s newest model.

The front-drive Scirocco in the clip is powered by a 2.0 TSI engine, which could indicate a flagship V6 model has been scrapped.

This is mated presumably to the brands 6-speed DSG gearbox, where you can clearly see the steering-wheel-mounted paddle-shifts being used.

    I think the only reason this car has any appeal is because the other cars in VW’s range are very average and dated looking. So compared to other current VWs it looks OK – compared to other makes, I’m not yet convinced.

    I love how in the second video he changes up what looks to be 2 gears and his head flicks back haha.

    This car does not excite me but it looks better than other dubs.
