if 290kw ps = 276Kw din, then 315Kw din = 330Kw ps (5% or so in conversion)

Are you saying your Mazda 6 MPS does “0-100 4.2 and have a top speed of 350+” ?

Its nice hearing you experts talk about hasbeen cars.
The reality is an EVO or Mazda MPS 6, now 4 years old are so much better engineered cars it’s not funny. They are also quicker than you realise. The 6 ECU has been deliberately set by Mazda to cut throttle Back to 70%. In spite of this It produces some very respectable results. Ofcourse you can do what I did to mine and have the W.O.T. and the throttle back removed from the ECU and you too can do 0-100 in 4.2 and have a top speed of 350+ in a rice burner that is quieter and smoother and far better outfitted. I know both the EVO and The Subaru also have similar controls. Internal space in the 6 Is just as good as any of your large footprint cars and safety I know I’d rather be in my 6.

Drive did it’s first test of the car yesterday. Bit disappointing they only recorded 0 – 100 in 5.3 seconds. Having said it beats the new 6.2 commie which recorded 0 -100 in 5.6 seconds. According to Rod Barret, the manual F6 has the goods to go under the five second barrier. Here’s hoping!!!!

Why is it that everyone is bagging out the GT in this part of the forum??? As far as I’m aware, a jump from 290 to 302 – 315 all in less then a year is a damn good effort. And on the base of it all… it’s basically 290 – 315, which is still an increase of 25 kilowatts. Maybe it’s just me but, the FG GT is a damn fine looking, extremely powerful car. As for the Typhoon/Tornado, anyone bagging that, leave the forum now! You don’t deserve to call yourself human if you can find a way to bag it. The Typhoon in many ways is a massive history mark in the pages of all vehicles!
