2011 Jeep Wrangler Mojave unveiled at New York show

By Brett Davis |

Jeep has unveiled the all-new Jeep Wrangler Mojave at the New York International Auto Show in the US. It comes with a number of rough-and-ready features which improve the car’s off-road ability.

Sitting on large 32 inch tyres, the Jeep Wrangler Mojave is like a bush version of the already capable Jeep Wrangler. The name of it comes from the formidable Mojave Desert which occupies a large part of southeastern California, and the notorious Death Valley.

The special model comes with almost all of the equipment the Sport models offers and is additionally garnished in body-coloured wheel arches and hard top roof, and Sahara model side steps.

It gets various protection plates for the underbody, including an exhaust covering, and lizard decals on the bonnet and on the rear. The car is also painted in a number of limited colours including Sahara Tan, Bright White and Black.

Inside, the cabin is decked out in saddle-style dark leather and a wood theme which spreads to the steering wheel spokes, highlights around the air vents and door handles and inserts. There’s also a lizard logo embossed on the seats.

The Jeep Mojave will hit showrooms in the US in June.

Large 32″ tyres, hahaha. Last time I checked my Nissan Patrol came standard with 32″ A/T as well. Woohoo. Not.

Off road tyres START at 33″ Mr Jeep.

But the wrangler comes with with muddies of a Light truck construction, not passenger construction like the nissan patrols come with.

Rice burner enthusiasts of the Landcruiser and Patrol brigade are always mocking anything that is not a Toyota or Nissan.
