rodeo was the worst car ever struggles to do 110 down hill, drives like a boat. I get annoyed the hire car place gives me one and thinks there giving me a great deal same goes for the AWD holden commodore ute. crap crap crap. barina, viva, captiva, epica all crap. do morw for australia then give us this shit. One good car only a VE.

Has it not occurred to any of you that it might be named after one of the worlds most wild and beautiful rivers of the world, the one that created the Grand Canyon. I believe the river was called Colorado befor there was a state.

Typical Holden.Prides its self as Australian and the only car they make is the Commoddore.wich lets face it is nothing special just an average family car.The new Holden Colorado with its very Aussie name,um oh yer colorado is in Yanki land,is just another rebage lets face it holden cant build more than one car they are all smoke and mirrors and if all car makers do what Isuzu have done. holden would go belly up.Australian car makers have a long long long way to go to achieve what Asian and European car makers have done for the car industry, holden are just looking over there sholder and copying there notes.the rodeo is agood car because it is built by Isuzu not holden.Holden is about as Australian as a Hot dog.

The (Isuzu) Rodeo deserves better than GMH anyway whose overall support was always lacklustre, especially with GMH’s after sales service policies. IMO, the weakest link in Rodeo ownership was the Holden badge on the grill. I will line up for another Isuzu 4×4 but not another rebadge with a dodgy nose job courtesy of GM.

Hey guys, i had a look at the link the other guy posted the second link, and it looks basically the same as the rodeo we got now, except “americanized, it look alright but im hoping Holden Make a better styling choice, its extremely rude the Isuzu take the name plate from Holden and dont use like what the? and yet use our Alloy tec man i hope Holden stop providing them with the Alloytec that might stuff em up then

I have a petrol/gas Rodeo. Have had no problems with the vehicle. Run 20K services (too expensive in lost work hours for 10K services)Economy is the driving reason for fuel choice.
This is my third gas Rodeo and by far the best. The previous two ran on either gas or petrol. The present unit uses petrol for idle/warmup and gas elsewhere and uses gas injectors in the manifold rather than a mixing chamber. definitely a much nicer vehicle to drive

Ditto Trevor. We are in the market for a dual cab TD and are struggling with lack of choice re price, power, performance and economy. ST-X is more for the family, with reduced payload. Re-released ST-R has dropped in price, but lost power despite having hte same engine as the ST-X. Ranger & BT50 are overpriced. We are now wary of the Rodeo (run out prices making way for the Colorado), given Holden’s lack of support in other discontinued models.

is it the diesel you guys have?

i know someoone who has the petrol rodeo, and it was troble from day one. it even got an engine transplant in the first few months.
from what ive had to do with rodeos, ive felt their reputation has slipped a bit

I’m not interested in the Ford, Holden, Toyota debate. I had decided to buy a Diesel rodeo for its towing capacity as its the only one rated at 3 tonne other than the Navara and I don’t fancy them. Should I buy a Rodeo now or wait for the Colorado?

its the best ute i have owned to date and i am even going out and purchasing another one as my partners vehicle.
more then likely a space cab.

for work i have a cab chassis and it hasnt missed a beat.
im just very interested what way they are goin to take go with this ‘relaunch’.

i just hope they improve on it, not coz i have had any problems but it never does any harm to have somethin better.

also, the only major diff between our model and the americna models is th eengine. chassis and suspension is identical. so as long as we keep our power plants then i fail to see the rodeo come colorado being a less work ready vehicle????

i see this as merely a face change dont see sales being affected. i think it will boost them if anything. anyone disagree??

Duck, i think subaru might have a problem with that. Just as they had a problem with Ford using the word Outback from 95 to 98 on a range of Falcon utes.
