MAN Diesel is good for u because diesel have more power than petrol.petrol is just silence and i comsume a lot so buy LAND CRUISER or BMW X5…………………………………..

Hi Tushar It all depends if it petrol or diesel, if it diesel the prado is just run in but I would not say that for petrol. I have a 2000 model and done 160,000 km with not a spot of a problem As grey nomads we have travelled around Auz 3 times sometimes on rough roads and pulled a 2 tonne van. The price sounds ok, I would like to get $20000 when i sell mine, to upgrade to the new common rail. The fuel ecomeny is great,I can get 13 lt to the 100. pulling the van, sydney to melbourne non stop. So go for it.,

Hi guys, i am seriously considering a prado GXL 2004 thats done 180000kms. do you think a $22k price tag is worth it? its got a bull bar, new tyres, reg till 11/09, all electric options, tints, and a three year parts + labour warranty. also has bluetooth car kit and tow bar.

my main concern is the number of k’s its already done if its an issue in this type of vehicle?

any thing i should be looking out for?

Oh what a feeling !
The feel that you get when driving a prado is unmatched. I’ve driven a pajero and i think that toyota has really pulled up the game with these models.
Jst hope the 2009 model keeps the same face. .

I just bought my first ever Prado (”07″ Model Diesel D4D 6 Speed …. and I Love It…..only had it three weeks and first trip was to Fraser Island for AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKEND i only live on the sunshine coast I Was very scared to get it dirty as it looked so nice WHEN I PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP but as soon as i got the first grain of sand on it i thought WHO gives a shit that’s WHAT they are made for…….did a bit of mud work believe it or not on the largest sand island in the world very impressed and my brother i law form W.A was very jealous… HA HA HA

Hi there Fenno…you say to steer away from the HZ 100 series…I am having puel consumption problems and lack of power with mine. It has an aftermarket turbo and intercooler. Plenty of low down grunt but doesn’t have the oomf of the factory. We have some at work, they go very well.
