Ferrari F40 .vs. 599 GTB Fiorano – video
March 27, 2008 by Alborz Fallah
It doesn’t matter if it’s Clarkson or Needell, sometimes words are simply not needed in a car video. Below you will see the Ferrari F40 .vs. 599 GT.
The Ferrari F40, arguably one of the greatest cars of all time, was built from 1987-1992. It’s powered by a relatively small 2.9-litre twin-turbo V8, which results in 356.5 kW at 7000 rpm and 576.2 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. Only 1,315 F40s were ever built.
In comparison, the current production model 599 GTB Fiorano has 456 kW (7600 rpm) and 607 Nm of torque. Still, the F40 can hold its own.

very dramatic and all…looked somewhat staged…F40 has still got the look happy to say and I would not say no to such a ride.
Supercool.
Imagine meeting those coming the other way. Agre though somewhat staged and edited.
I feel the tyres are far too wide on these Farrari’s I reckon if they put a 215 width tyre the dynamics would be far better somewhat like an Aurion. Only joking TP ;)
Impressive but your right no name, no match for the Toyota Aurion TRD. oh what a feeling
F40……G.O.D
BEST SuperCar ever made, end-of-story!
Cheers
F-0
Year 2050:
599 = $550 million
F40 = $1 billion
say no more.
Dramatic to watch but only drama. As if they would race them with the drivers wearing suits and no protection on them. And how is the camera vehicle keeping up?
No ferrari has inpsired me as much as the Ford Cobra, Mustang, or the delightful GT40, Alborz have you driven a 200m/h plus GT lately, remember Le Mans GT40 kicked Ferrai to the kerb and still does, even looks heaps better GT 4 me, the Ferrari is ugly as sin….
