I've had the Tiburon MY05 since 2005 and thought it was great, depreciation hurt though, LOTS.
But the price was soo much better than it's competitors.
I understand the Tiburon did not sell very well in Australia.
Since they are not making tibbers any more, it is not inconceivable that they will withdraw their 'sports marque' from this country.

I always felt that the tiburon would have been the next celica (old school celica) if it had been rear wheel drive...and now it's here! hopefully....

Saw one of these on display as a shopping mall Raffle prize whilst I was in Canada. My first thoughts were it looks bloody nice as I walked by... but being an Hyundai and liking my performance cars... I dismissed it.

Walking back by it again I noticed it was sporting a Brembo brakes package and thought "Hmmm... must be packing some punch to carry that braking sort power", so had closer look. Definitely looks like a sporty 'goer' and now I am back in OZ and seeing if it will make it down here and more importantly seeing its final specs and pricing.

cheers

I just drove this thing in Korea and it flys, the build is excellent and the drive is brilliant. It sounds awsome and looks even better, however they tell me it is not destined for the rhd market.

What a great looking car, Hyundai have done it again, cant wait for it to arrive in Australia.

Travis they can charge what they want for this thing, what else are you going to buy?? a 350Z?hope you have 70k, crossfire?90k BMW$$$$ Toyota?? dont have a car, Mazda rx8 50k +++

Duck a Commo is an 1800 kg boat ankor what are you talking about??

Joher, are you seriously questioning the reliability of a Hyundai??? 5 year unlimmited klm warrenty, more security companys abd hire cars use Hyundai vehicles based on the reliability.

TP how can you realy tell what the interior is like, as suggested take a look at the i30.

Overall cant wait for this car, Look out Nissan and Mazda and friends.

I love this car, its more aggressive than a G37, should handle better than a Mustang, looks more refined than most of its competition. Just hope that it lives up to the hype. Hyundai benched marked some respectful cars, If they succeeded, especially in perforamance, I can't wait to get one.

Yeah the 350z is a nice looking car but the styling is a bit bland now and I agree with Allan. Japanese sports cars often look spectacular upon their release but after a couple of years don't look much sportier than newer family sedans. The styling qs carried over from the Tiburon can't be a bad thing and Hyundai detail at least means it is it's own car.

The interior looks pretty good to me as well.

I kinda liked the concept, but the production version.. as always... after the engineers pretty much butchered the stylists visions... its expected.. after all it has to use the same structural elements with present cars...

well, it looks cheap now... the back reminds me of a G35 coupe. The front, a stretched IS250... the side... a tiburion...

the engine specs look okay, but too many conflicting design elements.

And someone said this looks "better" than the 350Z?

okay, well proves that beauty is definitely on the eye of the beholder...

350Z's body lines and design is much more "flowing".. the rear lamps could be more aggressive but.. judging by the new 370Z, they like it that way.. and its there to stay.

In Korea, base trim Tiburon (Tuscani in Korea) is sold without rear wiper. Don't worry, it will be there :) (or may be you won't need one...)

Looks like a mutated new Mazda 6, nice engine hope its reliable. Interior looks much better than those lower end hyundais by far.

As maxy says it all better be priced well. Im guessing Tiburon is no more...?

I like it, cant wait to sit in one and give it a test drive. Brings a nice wedge in the mundane 2seater sports market

I reckon that it is fantastic that the Koreans especially Hyundai have come along and are mixing things up a bit.

The consumer is really starting to benefit by this new blood in the auto industry.

Is very slick car with a slick motor....but

1. Grille looks to narrow in width and is devoid of character as looks like Elantra grille too much (too much plastic bumper between headlights and grille edge

2. WTF...no back wiper blade?

Will sell well if priced right and inclusions are included (not optioned up). Inside is sweet as, makes Toyota look ordinary!
