Love this car’s looks inside and out. Overall it seems to be a winner but I just wish us Aussies didn’t have to fork out such rip off prices!
I know that you have Mercedes people and you have BMW people and I tend to lean more to the Mercedes side of things, but why would anybody buy an SL over this? This is not a beautiful car, but it’s handsome and striking and just looks like a proper GT. The SL is a bit too much like half the people who buy them – old, not quite as sleek as once was, about three facelifts…
Oh well, my point is that I think this is a really good car to bring to the table. Not bad, BMW.
That is ugliest rear and side profile I have ever seen
I really dont see the point of this car. Oh wellz, its not supposed to be a volume seller anyway.
So this 640i is really actually a 630i… And somehow it is being compared as $50,000 cheaper than a 2010 650i… Makes a lot of sense BMW…
You Australians got ripped off. Fully loaded 650i is only $150,000 Canadian.
I saw one yesterday in princes highway and I must admit it looks terrible. MB SL is much better and wiser choice than this.
I thought convertibles we about style?
This one is lacking it in spades!
I’m trying, I really am, but I just can’t see the beauty in this car. It’s just not there. The design is really middle of the road and contrived. It’s pretty much awkward from most angles and the ‘underbite’ front is really off-putting.
Again, I’m preferring the Bangle design era to the new BMW design language. At least it had character.
Must say, I prefer the styling of the current 6.
Why would you buy this over an E500 or E55 Mercedes? And it’s about at least $50,000 overpriced for each version.
