This is top of our list to replace a Subaru Forester for the missus. We want occasional 7 seat capacity, but only for kids. Most reviews criticise the plasticky dash, which we can live with. There are few other negatives other than the space saver spare. We’d probably buy the 2.4 L petrol now if you could get stability control. Will probably hold out until (when or if) a turbo diesel comes out. About 10 grand less than a comparable AWD Kluger. The salesmen so far seem obsessed with showing me the paddle gear shifts on the 6 cylinder, but for us they are a waste of space on a family wagon.

Looks good, all specs, but NOT buying till a Diesel with auto transmission is available (2.2Lts Turbo Diesel) would beat any 3lts petrol in 4X4 driving and general every day commuting plus savings on fuel cost.

Just about to order my Outlander. Just one thing I am worried about, fuel consumption. I cannot find ANY specs. Previous model in South Africa was very heavy on fuel.
Car is very impressive, smooth, comfortable drive with excellent interior features. Would have preferred a diesel though.

Very envious of those already enjoying their Outlander. Unfortunately we ordered ours on 17 Feb and wont be picking it up till 31 May because we had to wait for the "Sports Pack" to be fitted overseas - who knew?

Still, looking forward to getting it soon and hitting the backwaters with the kayaks and camping gear.

The new Outlander ooks great. I understand there will be a diesel option for Europe, does anyone know if this will be available in Australia?

Got my deposit down on a black XLS with the Sun+Sound package. Not too sure if I like the new nose, so will probably fit the "sports mesh front grille".

Anyone want a black 2004 XLS going cheap?

cheers
