Ferrari FF Review & Crash by CarMagazine (video)

By Alborz Fallah |

Damaging a car is every automotive journalists’ worst nightmare. Most of the time it’s just a minor rim scratch or realising someone has opened a door into your expensive test car but in the case of this poor reviewer from CarMagazine, he can take the claim as the first journalist to damage Ferrari’s brand new FF. Enjoy watching this poor man realise he is in some seriously deep s….

Oh and if you’re wanting to see a picture of the damaged rim click here. Make sure you check out AutoCar’s review of the FF.

  • UMWHAT

what did he hit? looks like he went over something

  • Beaves NQ

I’ll tell you how that happened, you were driving like an assclown!!!!

    • omgwot

thumbs up for saying assclown :)

  • Valet Dabess

i thought he just hit a animal

  • Old Dog

Where’s the crash? will probably need a slight wheel alignment

  • john

Top gear have done better to some of the cars they have been given. There insurance will pay for it and if you go speeding on a public road then you deserve ever bit of damage you get.

    • Benjie

How do you know he was speeding?

      • Andrew

        The badge.

  • ryan bane

I think he clipped the apex of the corner, and half way through said corner, a kerb appeared, which he hit hard.
There is a picture on the CAR website showing a severely buckled rim – probably not cheap…

but hey, better than writing the car off, which has happened before on press days.

    • ryan bane

just seen there is a link to that photo above…

  • garry

So he clipped a curb, I’d hardly call that an accident. What annoys me is the way car magazine make a big deal about having an “accident”.

On the same but slightly different topic, how do shows like top gear get away with trashing cars? Surely they must destroy a set of tyres everytime they review a car. Who pays for that? them or the car company?

    • Henry

The reason he made such a big deal is because the car costs $500.000 as he may get fired and lose his job or pay $20.000 for new rims!

  • Andrew M

Looking at the picture of the rim, looks like the tyres arent even road worthy, the edges are well worn

  • Wayne Kerr

Looks like he hit a bump hard. Similar thing happened to my car when I hit a median strip at 70km/h.

    New wheel: $60
    Suspension repair: $200

    X 100 for a Ferrari though.

  • SZQ

he probably stepped on the power a little too hard too early and hit the side curb

  • Shak

All i can say is: Good Luck mate!

  • Schumi

I was wondering what the ‘FF’ stands for!

  • john

its obvious that the only thing he dented was his ego or perhaps that was a ferrari fart, FF.

  • Vince

I highly doubt he’s in trouble judging by the “damage” which seems to be cosmetic at best. He’s clearly distressed but it’s not the end of the world. They can rebuild it, they have the technology :)

  • bretti

    should’ve used run flats !!

  • Dosie

Fricken Funny – Haven’t laughed so hard for days! He will be shouting drinks for months!

  • speedyace

guys he didnt hit a curb, he drove through a pothole!. I’ve raced road bikes for more than 15 years and i can tell you that when i’ve riden through potholes on public roads, it can even throw a person off their bike, let alone the severe damage it can cause to a wheel. If you’re driving through a blind corner or even shadows on the roads caused from buildings and trees etc, that its very easy to not see one, regardless of what speed you’re travelling.Everyone can make a mistake, so dont carry on as though you’re all Schumacher….

    really, how did it happen
