Thats really great, a bunch of mates getting together in a shed and wacking together a dakar racing machine to race against some of the worlds best. Good on em!

Steve, what is a minimum cost of entering the targa rally? For example ya grab a pretty good XF falcon S with a 5spd manual, which is cheap. what would you estimate to be the cost of getting it rally ready? I’m thinking :P

Nah, it looks like one of those Parallel twin engines where one piston is bigger than the other!

On a more serious note, well done to them for making an attempt at the Dakar. I’d love to do that one of these days, but money prohibits me even getting into the Targa… though I have been know to do the course on my own when the event isn’t on. :)

The top pictures really funny – I think they put the wrong type of heads on the engine. They don’t look like high comnpression performance items to me. Ha Ha.
Its one of BM’s pedal cars….
