Top Gear to feature guest Prince Harry

Top Gear's 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment could get a visit from royalty later this year. According to a recent report by Metro in the UK, Prince Harry has expressed a certain eagerness to tackle the show's track and top the celebrity leaderboard.

Prince Harry has always had a need for speed and was recently selected to undergo special training at the American Army's Yuma proving ground in Arizona to learn combat while piloting an Apache helicopter. The helicopter is generally regarded as the most fearsome helicopter in the world.

According to a source quoted in The Sun, Prince Harry is very keen to get behind the wheel.

"The prince is a massive Top Gear fan and is dying to give the Kia a spin. He loves driving and ideally he'd like to beat Tom Cruise just for the boasting rights."

Tom Cruise became the quickest celebrity last series with a lap time of 1:44.2.

The 26-year-old is rumoured to star in the show's next series, which is expected to return on BBC2 sometime in June.
