i would buy the camaro one for looks and 2 i have a VE and a VZ commodore and would love to have this in the garage also holden have just released that they will be making a 3.6L 225K/W direct injected v6 for the series 2 VE and a 6.0L direct injected V8 for the SS and the Camaro but the camaro will have alot more power they say it might be as powerful as the walkinshaw W427

What would I be happier with?
Elite commodore VE V8
the best in the stable?

OR
the Camaro?

What would you buy??

First look and the frond end reminded me of a late 70s Celica, just missing the snug fitted chromed bumper.. Kind of funny I guess as the Celica was a rip off of a mustang

Its good to see the Aussies showing others a thing or two Richo, Not many people like American cars except Americans generally or when they are these 'retro look' items. I for one always seem to like the new look retro stuff but they seem to age really quickly hence lose interest. Take Chryslers 300, two years ago 'wow look at that', now 'oh look another 300'. I would say its better to spend your hard earned cash on the real item and buy the classic.

Why even bother disguising it, we've all seen it in movies like transformers and on tv and on the internet, the newspaper, every form of multimedia. And i have come to the conclusion it looks quite good for an american car. (note for an american car)

hey its got naturally forming mudspats, thats cool.

I can see similarities betwen this and the new Scirocco, funnily enough. Both are thick pillared and the side windows don't appear to reach high enough, making the roof look thick. Are side curtain airbags to blame? It's not overly obvious on other cars with curtain bags, so I'm just wondering as I write.

wow thanks No Name for taking credit for it being built in RHD and so graciously allowing us to have it too... i guess us aussies will just have to take all the credit for ENGINEERING IT! Underneath is 100% commodore and although the car was styled in the US all of the development work has been done right here in Australia by Holden due to the fact that they have been charged with the development of all future cars coming off the GM Global RWD Platform, ie commodore platform

No Name, CarAdvice has undisguised photos as well, GM mentioned the Camaro would undergo a few more minor design tweaks before it was put into production, this is more than likely much closer to the final version than previous images.

Autocar (UK) have undisguised shots of this. They also state that a RHD version is feasable due to UK demand so I guess you lot can have a one as well..
