Land Rover LRX Black edition
March 2, 2008 by George Skentzos
Whilst Land Rover is still adamant that its stunning LRX Concept is just that – a concept, it has unveiled a second rendition of the minimalistic compact SUV.
This second LRX will accompany the original at the Geneva motor show, sporting a handsome gloss-black finish which perfectly compliments the wraparound canopy design and silver highlights.
Although no pictures have yet been released, a tan and dark chocolate interior suggests that further development has gone into this latest LRX concept (the original white LRX is only a shell), only supporting the suggestion that we could one day see a production model.
Hypothetical specifications remain identical to the previous LRX, featuing a 2.0-litre diesel hybrid engine, incorporating an electric rear axle which can power the LRX alone below 30km/h – ideal for traffic – and provide additional torque in 4×4 mode.

What a head turner! Tata must give it the green light.
just build it already i love this especially in black
Exactly what O said just build it, The damn thing is gorgeous what’s the problem it’s a no brainer!!!!
I have an article from Autocar in much detail about this, by Andrew Frankel. He is the only Journalist that has been able to drive this prototype through the street od New York. What a privilaged position. I’ll scan and post it onto the forum for those intrested. Apparently it will be a hybrid with a 2.2diesel or v6 petrol.
It’s fantastic!
Ford Motor Company will regret its decision to sell Land Rover and Volvo..
^Axe I think FMC are keeping Volvo, but yes it was stupid to sell off Land Rover.
It looks great in black, hope their is a production model.
Apparently this the second concept LandRover have made in 60 years…….I think they have to make it.Spent 1 billion developing it…..Hot looking SUV…..
