Full Throttle in Italy

March 1, 2008 by Alborz Fallah

A gorgeous Italian morning was the introduction to two of the best driving days on offer from a set of Lamborghini’s finest twins.

After arriving at Lamborghini’s headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese, we were handed the keys to the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and the new Gallardo Superleggera.

The driving experience offered by each of the two examples from Lamborghini was intense and a keen observer could easily pick up styling and performance differences. One thing which can definitively be observed – and heard for that matter – is the exhaust note when the Gallardo gets some revs under its belt.

Nail the throttle in any gear and the optional E-gear (automated manual transmission) drops down to the most convenient gear in a heartbeat. When it does, hold on for dear life as the acceleration and ferocity of upshifts is in a league of its own.

  9. fasthonda says:

We see and hear things about e.g. STI,EV0 X,RS4 and other sports cars but, when you have cars built from the ground up for just for speed and handling like these two Lambos they’re simply in a league of their own.Mind you,so is there price tag.

  10. Minnow says:

When that orange lambo started up, the smoke was blueish, hmm i guess the motor wasn’t broken in properly, too much full throttle at such a young age. Looks like that lambo will lose its horses prematurely.

  11. Liam says:

Haha, lovely work if you can get it. Batsards! :P
