Hi Folks

I took delivery of my new Golf Pacific last night. It's a magic little car. The new interior is great and has more of a quality feel than the Comfortline. I'm really happy that I made the decision to upgrade from my 2005 Comfortline.

These cars just keep better...

A sold car doesn't mean it is a car that is also delivered. We have purchased a pacific model and can't get it until the offical release in april.
The prices haven't changed from the comfortline and trendline prices. The cars look that same as the other cars apart from larger wheels and coloured coded bumpers and strips.
you also get esp, the plus computer, dual zone a/c and the sports seat from the gt models with trim. MK 6 not released until sept in europe so late 2009 maybe here. But i've had the car on order for 2 months now and i can't wait ( car details release in dec 07)

I contacted Chatswood Classic Cars and was told they have have already sold numerous Pacific Golf Models, but if you order one now you wont receive it until late September depending on your specific requirements.
I want the GTI red (which is not extra) with sunroof, sat nav, bumper bars and side strip color match in addition to the standard features. The Pacific is meant to come with many more features (standard) than the Comfortline offers and for less money. (including 17 inch alloy wheels which I have seen and quite pleased with)

I have a photocopied sheet stating that the recommended retail value of the Pacific was 27.9 but I just looked and its now 32.4+. Not impressed.

Because I have done my homework on the Golf I know it will be worth the wait, but if nothing else, I would like to know if the car looks/feels different and even the dealerships are very hush hush about it. It seems a bit silly now.
All I know is that it has the ride height of a GT Sport, new wheels and a Pacific badge. Any additional information would be very much appreciated.

For the love of god.....has anyone even seen a Pacific or Edition yet? I have been holding out and was just about to order a comfortline when the dealer said I should wait for the pacific. I have been to 3 different dealerships and googled the hell out of it and can't find a single one.

Greg, you ordered a car without knowing its specs? In addition to features in the outgoing 'Comfortline', you will get sports seats, ESP, body coloured bumpers/handles, climate control, 'Pacific' badging... can't remember if that's the lot, but it's definitely a good deal, being the same price as Comfortline. I am looking to order the Edition (replacing Trendline, but with most features of old Comfortline), but am worried about buying a to-be-superseded model. What do you think? Will the VI Golf late next year be all that different? Bec

Where was the Passat CC, one of VW's most exciting models in years. It's supposed to be on sale here after mid year.
