Your comments show you don’t know much about the van market. The iLoad is not a big van. A load space length of under 2.4m makes it over 500mm shorter internally than a hiace. For many tradespeople and couriers it is just too short! As for a second hand Vito or VW??? I guess you’ve never had to repair one.

I thought these were a bit pricey when released, but they are pretty big vans.

Why the hell would anyone wait 6 moths for a Toyo death-trap van. Proves there are plenty of gullibles out there. A second hand VW or Vito would be a far better investment than a new Hiace……

Other than being priced similar to a HiAce it really has NOTHING in common with it.

The Hyundai van is a cross between the Vito Benz/VW Transporter and Transit.Reverse engineered if you will.

FYI the HiAce wait is 3 to 6 months for delivery!!

Yes BigT would be worried, and one can imagain they WILL react, the mail is the a new generation SBV is out latter in the year?

Am actually happy with the deal offered on the Pregio, besides it wasnt far to fall in the first place.Have 2 other private-heads that want to buy it too.

The Transit is the issue, Typical-Blue-Oval trash, nobody wants to touch it even with a barge pole…..

As per above will wait a bit and burn around in the Transit, they WILL do deals on the Hyundai without a trade in, but yeah in 6 months you can buy it fully on your own terms.

I imagine dealers are able to depreciate old stock and hence offer better change over deals to move these before they are completely stale. If u hang on to it for at least a couple of years shouldn’t affect future resale.

I bought off the floor like this back in 2005 and saved 5k on the drive away price and also got the highest price I could get on the new vehicle for my trade and better than most ther dealers to boot! I was happy with the available two colour choice etc so it worked out well.

By then they will probably be doing deals on 07 built/ 08 complied examples as well.

I agree the newness factor would stop u getting a good deal at present.

The poor resale argument doesn’t hold water to me these days.

More you spend the more u ultimately loose at trade in time would be closer to the truth.

Frugal one,
thats the downside of buying a cheap van (pregio) in the first place, poor resale. That and they always low-ball trade in prices on new products. Short supply and high demand (they hope). Give it 6 months and they will be selling these things at cost price. Hyundai dealers cant help themselves.
