Finally a worthy AWD competitor for the regular WRX. Hopefully its priced around the same money. Can’t wait for the comparison.

I want one, the Evo has always been superior to the fugly Rex/STi, now the the mission is complete.
Lets hope Mitsubishi have plenty in stock or there will be a very l o n g waiting list.

Correct me if I am wrong, it appears that the RLancer shown in the Melbourne motor show (as shown in the photos) does NOT have the Recaro Seats (different to the one shown in the Detroit Auto Show).

I will be a bit disappointed if the Aust model miss on the Recaros…considering that even the Ralliart Colt have them as standard spec!!

Wondering when we will actually know the final spec of the RLancer for Aust?

Allan I was going to say the EXACT same thing… this is a concern, they usually show the fully speced model on display, if we dont get Recaros that would shyte me to no end (on top of the fact we pay $10k extra then yanks… we get less optional features as well!!!). Also interesting to see if they have left other things out, like 30 gig memory, these are points which would reduce the appeal of a car like this this, for me anyway.

The original Lancer GSR’s did not come with recaros, the japanese version DID come with recaros though. Perhaps the australian market will be again a more basic model than japan and the US receiving the Japanese model.

Nice car, The GSR should not have stopped here in Aus. It let Subaru take over the market.

      A manual will be nice.

It certainly has great design clues compared to the not so good looking Rex plus it has a SMEG box standard and Recaro seats are optional (should be standard these days). I hope Subaru is listening. Having said all that, the new 2009 WRX will have 195kW (265hp) and 343Nm (253lb-ft) of torque. It’s 0-100 is about 5.5sec compared to t6.6sec for the Lancer Ralliart.

Which one you buy is a personal choice based on style, performance and creature comforts etc. Personally,I would like a MY09 Rex with ‘Recaro seats, MRT cat back exhaust and a SEMG box’. Oh, well back to dreaming! Wake up Subaru!

There might be some stolen things from other cars. But Mercedes-Benz stole from Mitsubishi the front tableau lights. Which came with the Evo X. Check it on Mercedes Benz E Class the new one 2010.

      Shame on Mer.
