Great looking car, and a stong contender as my next car (moving from large 4WD to mid/small SUV or mid-sized wagon) but why do so many makers offer only the horrible dark grey or black interiors? They are the pits for this hot country and light colours look so much more classy and spacious.

This is an exellent car, I was recently in Germany and had a diesel version as a hire car, and it was great, plenty of space, and relitavly quick. I don't know why Ford Australia didn't introduce it here earlier.

I have a mondeo 2.0 TDCI and love it.
Would even more love it with the 2.2 TDCI such as is supposed to be comming in the wagon
BUT WHEN only adds I have noticed are for ther petrol one ,and even that is not on fords web site.
Ford get real put the 2.2 TDCI in mondeo sedan, hatch and wagon and just watch those sales go. only problem it would mke the falcon obsolete.
even the 2.2 TDCI in the Falcon would breath some new life into an otherwise not to bad set of wheels.

PITY,, PITY no one listens to customers or looks at the sales percentages for TDCI with VW Peugeot and Citroen dont even bring a petrol C5 into the country.
Where are Forfs Marketing Gurues Based? Detroit?

Sorry PM, but Mondeos from Portugal aren't much use for Australia as they're left hand drive. If Aussies are that desperate for a Mondeo wagon, they can import one from New Zealand.

Well, we just bought the same as on the picture..., with 2.5T petrol 5cylinder with 220ps and Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD).

This car looks even better in reality, than on picture.

I saw one of these in France over Christmas. All loaded up with ski gear, let me tell you it looked fantastic!

This could be the answer Ford Oz are looking for. Let the Falcon wagon die slowly, then have a stylish big wagon in the range for those who don't want an SUV. I don't know the dimensions, but I'm sure its cargo area would be much bigger than the Subaru Liberty (which is actually tiny inside).

Carl - Given that the Wagon is at the show I would hazard a guess Ford is judging reaction to it, my guess you'll have it before long and it will eaasliy outsell the falcon wagon 10 to 1.
Yep thats a TDCi badge on the rear. Its a pity that Ford aren't putting the 2.2 diesel engine from the previous Mundaneo in this version. Its a fantastic performer 116Kw, goes like stink and does 6.2litres/100kms. They seem to have dropped it for some reason.

Must admit I like this better then the hatch. The rear tailights look too upturned like on the Mazda 2 and Sant Fe...but it gels sweet and looks hot! Bring it out silly Ford Australia!
