Melbourne Motor Show: Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti Veyron has become the pinnacle of motoring obsession, although no longer the fastest, and arguably never the most expensive, it remains as the most remarkable supercar ever conceived.
The quad-turbo W16 engine is only the beginning of its fascination, propelling the Veyron's near two-tonne heft to 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds through a sophisticated all-wheel drive system - the only way to reign in all those horses.
The interior suffers no consequence from its performance credentials, offering a full array of super-luxury refinement in an infinitely customisable combination.
Whilst some of the CarAdvice team have enjoyed a 1001hp sprint across the Eurpoean country side, the Melbourne Motor Show will serve exclusively as the only occasion on which the Australian general public can view this masterpiece in the flesh.
