Lotus did not choose the honda engines as they come in front engine cars, where the celica engine also used to be in the jap spec MR2 which is mid engined which meant less stuffing around for lotus

I currently drive the 07 HSV GTS and would LOVE this Lotus as my next car… I think they are doing great things and I cant think of ANY car which can handle as well for the price… Weight plays a massive part in the specs and great they have increased the braking power… But for me its always the cornering which makes me want one.. and ot looks great..

The engine is developed by Yamaha instead of Toyota. It is the same engine used in Toyota Celica… They should have used Honda KA20 engine instead

Pretty sure it is Toyota motor. They do some great stuff NO NAME, just I cant say like TP that TOYOTA RULES as every carmaker cant have best models in range as some good and some bad! TP thinks all TOYOTA’s good…LOL

I suppose it’s obvious for me to say it would do very well against the EVOs and HSVs in the Performance Car Series.

Reality is – lets give credit where credit is due…Lotus has a nice car here with amazing credentials that just got a whole lot better.
