Gumpert has released another teaser image of its upcoming new supercar, called the Gumpert Tornante. The Tornante will be unveiled in full detail at next week’s Geneva Motor Show.

As previously reported, the Tornante will feature a 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 515kW of power. The engine will also be matched up to a TT40e sequential transmission with paddle shifters. Like the previous benchmark model, the Apollo, the Tornante will feature a fully-adjustable suspension package.

The body is said to be made almost entirely of carbon fibre which covers a steel chrome-molybdenum space-frame and carbon composite monocoque.

From the rear it appears Gumpert may have taken some inspiration in taillight design from the Bugatti Veyron, with its twin-ring LED arrangement.

It will be interesting to see what the new car looks like in full detail as this time the Gumpert will have a design language following a philosophy developed by Touring Superleggera – an Italian design studio. It’s expected the car will not only be extremely fast but also nice to look at, unlike the somewhat ugly Gumpert Apollo.
