Skoda concept to reveal new design language and logo

Skoda is set to unveil a concept vehicle at next week’s Geneva Motor Show that will preview the brand’s all-new design language and debut its revised logo.

Unlike most manufacturers who spread images and details of their concepts around in the lead up to motor shows, the Czech brand has decided to keep all the information under its hat – at least for now.

All Skoda has revealed is that the concept vehicle will possess “clearly defined shapes”. The new design language will be one that Skoda hopes will help it achieve its goal of doubling global sales by 2018.

The concept will wear the brand’s new badge, with the traditional winged-arrow logo to adopt a “new spectrum of colours to look even more distinct and precise than ever before”. The new badge will adorn all new Skoda vehicles from 2012.

Skoda also promises the new design language and logo will lead the brand in a new direction, with the design and layout of its showrooms to be “substantially modernised”.

Although we have no images to bring you today, you must admit it’s a refreshing move from Skoda to keep the surprise until the Geneva Motor Show, which opens on March 1. We’ll be sure to bring you all the news then.
