What’s the essential difference in nature between this car and the 612 Scagliett?
The 612 is a four-seater.
“typical Italian understatement”
I don’t think understated and Italian have ever been used in the same sentence before, let alone associated with the word typical….
I would Prefer a 458, MP12-4C or a DBS.
The 458 and MP4-12C are pure bred sports cars, the 599 is a GT. The DBS is the only car you have listed here that is in the same segment
Yes please! Stunning.
It is an unnecessary comment…

It’s an unnecessary car.
Actually, cars such as this are incredibly necessary. They set the standard to which manufacturers of lesser vehicles aspire and their development process expands our body of engineering knowledge, thus enabling new technologies to eventually filter down to models you and I can afford.
In essence, the wealthy who buy such vehicles are paying (through the nose) for the development of engineering methods and automotive technologies that will eventually benefit every consumer.
Sorry, but you are wrong. This is a very necessary car.
I agree with Redback, if you don’t feel this car is necessary, I suggest you watch the Ferrari Megafactories episode from Nat Geo (I think) which shows how this beautiful car is made and the technology that goes into it. I was amazed at how much passion the employees of Ferrari had when making each and every one of these cars.
Kevin, when you move onto car heaven can I have your job?
This is a studly and powerful car! Good looks and it’s so masculine! Some of the Lamborghini and other cars look fem.
Actually I’ve always thought Ferraris are more feminine than Lamborghinis.
Is it just me or do the speeds marked on the speedo seem a bit random?
When I win Lotto I look forward to taking one of these for few test drives
Ferraris best looking car..but the dials,instruments & dash look a bit tacky…
30 million lottery please.
