Although sales of box-shaped cars haven’t exactly taken off in Australia, in some parts of the world the idea of driving a box has enormous appeal. With the Kia Soul and Toyota Rukus already on sale, the Korean company is currently working on a new model that looks like an MPV version of the Kia Soul.

From what we can tell the rear doors are different on the left and right side. On the left side it’s a conventional rear door while the one on the right side is a sliding door.

It’s unknown how Kia plans to sell this alongside the Soul, but we suspect it will have appeal somewhere around the world.

The Kia Tam, as it’s currently called, will be launched towards the end of 2012 as a 2013 model.

A more appropriate name might be Kia Tram. A -W- class tram at that.

No. Designed in California by some 19 yo kid with a crayon. Kia will put the family grill on it though.
