2008 Audi A3 Cabriolet at Melbourne Show
February 21, 2008 by George Skentzos
Accompanying the new A4 on the Audi stand will be the topless A3 Cabriolet, which has been confirmed for Australia in the lead up to the Melbourne International Motor Show.
The A3 Cabriolet is scheduled to launch in Australia by July, and will be offered in several engine variants including a 1.6-litre manual, 1.8 TFSI S tronic and 2.0 TFSI manual and S tronic variants.
The Audi A3 Cabriolet boasts a semi-automatic lightweight soft top (a fully-automatic version is available as an option) which opens in just nine seconds.
Official pricing and specifications will be released closer to the release date, with Audi forecasting sales of 120 A3 Cabriolets in 2008.

looks like an EOS to me. I love Audi, but I think their prices are somewhat inflated for what you get.
THe couple of A3’s i’ve driven in the part have not been that good. Noisy Choppy ride, uncomfortable. Can;t imagine this will be much better if at all.
Funnily enough here in Euroland the british buy more soft tops than any other country despite all the rain. amazing.
So this is a competitor to the BMW 1-series convertible I take it?
Looks quite nice actually, that front reminds me of an R8.
dont like the idea of a softtop, the only one i would buy is a lotus elise
I prefer soft-tops not only because they tend to look better than their metal-origami counterparts, but they show the car is a convertible, top down and up.
is there going to be a S3 cabriolet?
