2008 Ford Falcon G6E Interior

The G6E interior reflects confidence and dynamism, with the materials conveying a comfortable sophistication and colour working in subtle harmony. The G6E is offered in both Shadow/Shadow and Shadow/Cashmere, with a stronger use of the lower environment colour and coordinating carpets giving the interior a more sophisticated appearance.

The use of Dark Nickel with Satin Alloy highlights plays with warm and cool neutrals in tandem, complemented by touches of Cyber Carbon.

The standard Nudo Leather used throughout breaks new ground for Ford Australia, with the incredibly soft leather offering a lustrous look and feel in the vehicle, giving the customer an ideal combination of luxury and sports.

2008 Ford Falcon G6E Turbo Interior

The G6E Turbo interior is the ultimate in sports luxury in the FG Falcon range. To complement the overall image of this vehicle, the interior offers the best of the best from a luxury point of view, while also retaining an inherently sporty nature.

The G6E Turbo will be offered in Shadow/Shadow and Shadow/Cashmere like the G6E, with the primary difference being the Black Onyx centre stack and console treatment. It shares the Cyber Carbon spear, which takes on a new personality when surrounded by the Black Onyx, as well as the use of standard Nudo Leather material.

2008 Ford Falcon XR6 / XR6 Turbo / XR8 Interior

The interior of the XR range of vehicles screams performance, with a dark ambience highlighted by technical accents. The fabric pattern is highly technical and the insert pattern coordinates with exterior colour choices and the interior environment.

The XR series is available in Shadow/Shadow, with colour coming from the fabrics and strong metallic accents in Satin Alloy.

Fabrics that feature three dimensional textured surfaces, which call to mind rubber and metal, are the key statement pieces, with bright and dull yarn mixes offering intrigue and interest.

The insert fabric Streetwise is inspired by modern, energetic street wear and is available in a select range of colours that are matched to exterior colour choice. Its bolster companion, Attitude, literally hugs the seat, taking full advantage of the sports inspired shape. The Attitude bolster picks up the interior theme colour as a feature within the twin needle stitching.
The leather option uses Nudo Leather on the bolster with Nudo Weave as the insert. This new embossed leather insert has a very athletic, strong and masculine appearance, offering the performance customer the ability to make an even more powerful statement.

  • o

  • Oz.

    FANTASTIC LOOKING CAR
    COMPARED TO THE NEW COMMODORE
    AND IT’S INTERIOR IS GREAT
    WATCH OUT HOLDEN

  • alec

I love ford and my falcons… but name changing only creates confusion.

  • Oz.

i really like the 10th pic in the 2nd gallery.

  • Jase

Much nicer than HOLDEN’s billion dollar baby.

  • G

The exterior doesn’t do justice to the interior. I reckon the interior is a huge improvement. Exterior changes don’t really do it for me.

  • Jase

I just realised the the new FALCON G6 has VOLVO seats and headrests. Well done FORD, the new falcon looks fantastic!

  • http://. Naughtyius Maximus

Silky smooth lines and love dash upgrade, console upgrade flows well into centre binnacle of dash and more classier. Good to see no idiotic Commodore handbrake and still retaining serious console lid and not some gimme crap of Commodore

  • Watto_Cobra

The interior, just WOW. So classy.

    Things I’ve noticed:-

    * Speaker system also has drivers in the rear doors, and looks like splits on the A-pillar.

    * That centre cluster and screen look great AND functional.

    * Footwell lamps on the back of the console, good to see.

    * Even the “door pocket” has a cut out for larger bottles of water/coke.

    * Anyone notice how the speedo goes up in increments of 20, then at 140 it starts incrementing at 30 all the way up to 260? I didn’t realise the BF FPVs did that until I noticed it here.

  • T

Does anyone actually READ the material before you publish it??? It’s the biggest dump of meaningless verbal diarrhoea I have ever read – even for a car company.

“… interior reflects confidence and dynamism, with the materials conveying a comfortable sophistication and colour working in subtle harmony.”

And it goes on and on.

  • Richo

i’ll give it to ford here, holden is going to have to improve the VE interior to match this, although ford has led in the interior race ever since the BA so thats nothing new. Good work ford

  • BK

I own a BA XR 6 and the interior in it is good but in these new XRs it looks so good. Ford win again

  • Andrew M

    Richo,
IMO ford has lead the interior stakes since EA.

a great example is lining an EF interior up against a VR interior.
the falcon interiors have always looked more comfortable and solid

  • Jase

    Hey guys,

Just a quick note – im pretty sure the XR8 interior difers from the XR6 in that it also has the silver trim on the sterring wheel controls.. not the black like the xr6 – very nice tho all round.

  • Watto_Cobra

Just noticed a feature mentioned of the official Ford site.

“The first Australian-manufactured application of a self-adjusting park brake.”

Well done FordOZ sourcing from Australia wherever possible and that should put paid to the park brake adjustment complaints.

  • Watto_Cobra

Hahahaha, also on the official Ford site is this little gem of a quote:-

“In comparison to other locally-built rear-wheel-drive sedans that use a virtual pivot control link with a McPherson strut, the FG Falcon system uses a virtual pivot control lower link and an upper A-arm, which results in better camber when cornering, leading to improved tyre contact with the road and increased assurance for the driver.”

How many other locally-built RWD sedans are there? We all know who they mean without naming names, funny stuff.

  • Bavarian Missile

hahaha……..Did you search long for that ? Nice one!

  • Oz.

I just went to Ford’s site and I can’t believe what I saw. I didn’t expect to see much about this new “Trim, Taught Terrific” Falcon. But it’s everywhere!

  • o

i prefer the shiny black interior to the alminum
akso lets hope the G6E unercuts the calias seeing it has leather standard

i really am wondering how much all will cost im guessing the XR8 will be around 48k seiing ithas no leather but that means that the XR6 turbo will come at 46 and the G6E at 44 then the G6E turbo at maybe 50 with XT starting at around 36k

  • http://. Naughtyius Maximus

Yeah cool on there hey OZ!

  • BK

Holden commodore VE is only a 4 star in world class safety. So what the hell did they spend there billion dollars on. There engines are gutless and trannys dont work properly. New FG is allready rated a 5 star in world class safety. Nowonder Ford is the best aussie made car in the world.

  • Duck

    Anti-Spam word…..Holden

Holden Calais V Two Tonne colour interior looks better!

  • Duck

^^^^Wrong BK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said that when the VE was not released they said it was going to be five star ANCAP so we will wait and see! The falcon might come out as 4 star ANCAP!

  • Oz.

Duck. Both the VE Commodore(Omega) and the out-going BA/BF Falcon have a 4-star ANCAP safety rating. I suppose Ford can learn from what stopped Holden from receiving 5 Stars, but as you said, we will wait and see.

P.S. It’s been awhile since I last seen these gallery’s, after I returned to this post last night I had a very wild dream…..Ford gave me a free G6E Turbo!!!

  • Oz.

NAUGHTYIUS MAXIMUS said: “Yeah cool on there hey OZ!”

Yep, makes me feel absolutely crraazzzzyyyy!!!!!

  • Duck

    No sunglasses holder :(

  • Watto_Cobra

I sat in a G6E on Saturday and it had a pop down sunglasses holder near the rear view mirror.

  • Golfschwein

BK asks, “Holden commodore VE is only a 4 star in world class safety. So what the hell did they spend there billion dollars on. There engines are gutless and trannys dont work properly. New FG is allready rated a 5 star in world class safety. Nowonder Ford is the best aussie made car in the world.”

Hey mate, shouldn’t you be called BR for Broken Record? I’ll tell you what the billion bucks was spent on, seeing as you keep asking and nobody tells you.

It bought them a left hand drive export programme, 4 body styles including luxury long wheelbase and a brand new platform and associated rear suspension that other GM subsidiaries have said “Yes please thanks very much” to.

Five stars? Coming. Probably already here, with side airbags now standard. Direct injection and five speed autos, maybe even 6? On its way.

Happy? You won’t need to ask again, thanks to Uncle Golfschwein.

  • Duck

Oh…..there is sun glasses holder….i cant just see it!

Thanks Uncle :) Golfschwein! BK doesnt listen, but i totally agree and tried to say things like you said to him.
