Spectacular GT2 finish at Sebring

February 14, 2008 by George Skentzos

After a grueling 12-hours of racing at Sebring, just half a second separated the first placed Ferrari 430GT from Porsche’s brand new GT3 RSR with the winner of the GT2 class coming down to the wire. Their final joust on the last lap is nothing short of spectacular.

F1 – if you ever see brand new video on the web – send us a link to it if you have the time. The WWW is a vast place so its hard to keep up with everything

  3. Minnow says:

Not the first time a Ferrari has pushed a competitor off the track hey – hahaha.

    Awesome finish.

  9. Lcat says:

“right now make protest” for a bit of door handle rubbing! gee wouldn’t last long in v8 supercars!!

  10. Tom says:

Great finish. Wonder if all racing is like that in GT2. Somehow I doubt it.

He went out too wide and knocked the back of the Porsche which would have meant he had to back off and lose acceleration out of the last corner of the race for the win.

    I’d protest that for sure.

  11. Lcat says:

^Bergmeisters protest was quickly dismissed by the officials, the action was deemed ‘good close racing’.

  12. Phill says:

    Good stuff

  13. dimsum says:

Minnow: I think that was shown here, that first commentator sounded like a Channel 10 dude….

  14. Elitist says:

Porsche is a perfect car…Germans make refinement to the last bolt.
Italians know how to make a car more than the sum of its parts..
Great race and great example f the two.

Ferrari is just to hungry when it comes to competition, these types of races make me laugh when I think how rubbish and pointless Bathurst really is.

  15. Ashy Larry says:

Elitist, u seem to be most negative guy on this forum. Get a life and leave bathurst alone!!! Us rednecks love to watch ford and holden slug it out while we get smashed and chase round the local wildlife round the track. I know i love it every year. If you dont like our racing here move to europe.

  16. Elitist says:

When I think of Ford and Holden I think of that Dodo commercial when Skaiff is drag racing a UFO….
    Cultured lot, you Bathurst ppl.

  17. ShAwNeX says:

Did that Ferrari just try to knock that Porsche into the wall on the final turn?
