BK, If the Falcon goes over to the US, it would bring back some yank’s memories as there used to be a US Falcon in the 60s.

  2. Andrew M says:

what was wrong with my spelling of “commaercials”??
i thought that was how it was spelt ha ha ha it must have had fat finger syndrome ha ha ha

yes i agree they need to do an ad to take the piss out of their competition. toyota and holden try and take the piss of other manufacturers but ford doesnt. i think its about time they come up with some ads to exagerate stuff like toyota and holden do.

  3. Oz. says:

    HAHA Yeah….

Ford should use stuff from the past. Have you seen the XD Falcon ad? uniquecarsandparts.com.au/classic_car_commercials_ford_falcon_17.htm It shows how owning a small car gives you no advantages!

  4. Bavarian Missile says:

Gee AndrewM….your in good form tonight…….

Fat fingers……..mmmm,its big hands you have to worry about in general ,or not should I say!

You know what Ford add I hate……..that bloody Territory one where they scare all the Euro sports cars….

    Dumb add……!

  5. Bavarian Missile says:

So tomorrow the day of the unveiling for dealers of the new Orion….anyone near Geelong ? Whats the bet we get some leakage tomorrow night the day before the public unveiling…..tick,tick,tick!

  6. ChopstaR87 says:

Does anyone know on sunday what falcon will be released??? is it just the normal fords or FPVs as well???

i would thinking they would be waiting till later date for the FPVs…. i just want to see the new Typhoon power figures…..

i wish ford would make a F6-HO and start a legend and compete with this romoured GTSR with 400Kw+….. Please Ford…. we cant wait till 2011 for the GT-HO Pharse 5….

  7. Bavarian Missile says:

mmmmmmm.good question,I do know Ford won’t unveil the FPV performance side of things till later…..

    Hey Chopstar………F6 figures I thought were 300 kws…….

What ever Rod baby decides to bring out in the new Ho it will nail what ever else is out there at the time cause unless it can he wont release it,it has to live up to the previous Hos reputation…… Oh he won’t call it a Phase 5 either….sad!

  8. Wheelnut says:

What I;d like to know is in an attempt to appease those who were shocked to see ads showing cars driving along a windy road at what they believe to be excessive speed..

why are we now seeing ads with cars driving around on the top of high rise buildings.. Both the Focus/Fiesta and Captiiva ads.

Yeah sure thats more realistic isn’t it.

  9. Wheelnut says:

BM youre right; from all reent reports on the Orion the F6 will have 300Kw; and the GT 320Kw

So I suspect an HO would have to have at least 350Kw.. Then of course there’s the GTS-R wiht the 400Kw LS9 yet it;s expected to be a limited edition like the VR model

The Base Orion could have 200Kw .. I’ve also heard that the VEII could also have 200Kw in the Omega.

  10. ChopstaR87 says:

yea thats what people are saying about the F6..300kw… but i would like know officaly what it will be and how much torque…i want to know the fact now… i am sick of the hear say….

that really really sucks if they dont call it a pharse 5…:(

Ford just really needs to market this car well…. because so far every thing is looking pretty good….

if the car is as good as i think it will be… may upgrade my BA to the orion…. fairly quickly….. lets hope…

  11. FORD better get a svelte look and much bolder as frigid as hell on design front ever since the weirdo AU was released in 1998!

  12. Oz. says:

You right Wheelnut, A GTS-R and HO will only be limited edtion. GTS-R with LS7 or LS9. GT-HO with a hurricane V8 or supercharged 5.4

I can’t believe after I first saw the Wheels mag almost a year ago…and now we will see it this weekend! Who would of thought it would take so long?

Did anyone see the video link I posted? funny as!

  13. ChopstaR87 says:

i have heard maybe 315Kw for the GT…. if true… i think some people really will be pissed!!! considering HSV will have the 6.2 litre later this year with 325Kw

    i heard base falcon will have 205Kw @ 395nm

the GTSR will be about 485Kw if they use the Same engine as the ZR-1…i think the Ho will need to be more then 350Kw… more like 450Kw…. they should do what holden does and borrow an engine… they should get the GTX1 engine… 700hp = 522Kw its just a modded GT40 engine… different Supercharger and better Exhaust… that about it… and it only 5.4litre V8….

  14. Oz. says:

Remember the Hurricane V8 will be SOHC, shut-off 4 cylinders(Like modern Hemis) and can be stroked over 7.0L. That should be ok for a GT-HO.

  15. ChopstaR87 says:

thats right…. 7.0L falcon would hummer!!!!!

  16. Oz. says:

FORD can get more power than 320kW out of their 5.4L.
I doubt they would mention FPV’s power outputs this weekend, maybe a suprise is on the way. We do know if the GT isn’t over 320KW & 570NM, the F6 will be better so it’s a killer.

  17. Oz. says:

Ford had a SOHC 7.0L along time ago, but it was huge. There’s a 30s Ford V8 hot rod in Australia with one and it’s so big the motor sticks out the side.

If a Hurricane V8 will be used in a FPV GT-HO, what can I say? It will be good.

GTHOs must handle too, we don’t want an over powerd killer. Because we must remember “HO” in GT-HO stands for “handling option”.

  18. Bavarian Missile says:

Chopstar……….I understand what your saying ……..but not everything is about cubes….I know they say you want more inches stroke it,and in a recent article I think in Popular Hot Rodding there was something on some 600 cubic Ford inch monster to match Chev ……….is that about 10 liters? I dont know ……..its about efficiency, look at what they do already with 5.4…….Im thinking Ford do a pretty good job with their cubes considering the 5.4 is such a short stroke engine….

Hey Oz………..HO……..of course! He has stated that it must nail everything in its class before he will release it on a track…….but I think you will see that with the new F6…..HEHEHE…..wheres my hubby Wheelnut…..

  19. Bavarian Missile says:

Ohhhhhhhh,my next anti spam word was BMWM3………so I had to post.

Havent read that article yet babe on the Cover of Motor but will, straight after the M6,AUDI and 911 article……they all make my toes curl……lets not go there!

  20. Wheelnut says:

    Right here…. :-)

  21. Bavarian Missile says:

    hahaha…….ring you later babe………xxxx

  22. Mr_xPresSion says:

Andrew M, most of these cars are not an issue.

XR5 focus, – got 2 in stock at our dealership
diesel Focus – got 4 in stock
entire Mondeo range – worst case 8 weeks waiting time (have you tried ordering any other imported car in a combination thats not a best seller)
    and
F6X – Its only just been officially released, give it a few weeks

  23. GT MAN says:

FPV will run with the ‘HO’ and it is planned to be 351kw with some very special body, suspension, interior touches; 18 – 20 months away.
