Realcars, not only are you displaying a complete lack of maturity but any sense of fairness and reasoning but that is OK because it is yourself who is stooping to low levels which is historically expected from most Holden/Ford fans when they have little remaining puff.

Sometime back you may recall video footage comparing the Euro NCAP crash testing of a Yaris and a Holden Barina.

While the Yaris faired extremely well with damage restricted to the frontend only, the Barina also suffered a partially collapsed roof and a buckled floor (chassis) that pertruded into the passenger cabin.

Just goes to prove the structural and crash integrity of these to direct competitors with one of them rated at 5 stars and the other at a dismally low 2.

I would be much, much, much more concerned about a Cruiser zeroing down on a Barina.

Andrew - is that the same Explorer that killed 279 people in the US because of roll-overs.

I told u that u guys are mean't for one another. Ha Ha Ha.

Yeah only Toyota matchbox cars!Ha Ha Ha

You guys should talk to your respective fathers and see if u can borrow the keys to the Widebody. U could park out the front of a Toyota dealership and get to know one another.

Is a gimmick to showcase Toyota's technological prowess rather than a worthwhile real world contribution. The Japs are expert at taking technology(developed by Yanks or Euros) and giving it a consumer application worth wile or not.

I would be more concerned about that Landcruiser zeroing down on your Safety T Cell.

I wouldnt worry RoFlmaTic Realcars is an idiot... I doubt he even drives a real car, my bet is he still drives his matchbox cars around the sandpit.

You also made a good point made which this idiot neglects, these cars dont drive themselves... and at the end of the day Realcars being an ignorant person he is doesnt realise that certain cars Lexus sell are aimed at people who will be interested in these features.

P.S How hot is the IS-F... now that is a REALCAR!

What is the Lexus version? Safety L Cell?

Remember the Toyota Crown or would u rather forget? It was a nut and bolt copy of 50's 230 Merc.

Well guess what their at it again. Not as blatant this time around but I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.I suppose most Lexus owners don't mind if their ride is confused for a Merc.

Realcars, read the article again.

Actually look to the top of the screen at the name of the window. "GPS brake assist".

"Assist" - it doesn't drive for you. You try to distort the crucial point to something it isn't ie. "cars that drive themselves", then argue against that and claim victory. That's called the "straw man argument" and you can read up on wikipedia here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man. Off course anyone can write up stories on wikipedia. You'll find small numbers after the sentences though, these are called footnotes, and articles that don't have footnotes to substantiate the facts are deleted.

I doubt your hypothetical corrolla vs landcruiser test has been conducted so off course noone knows what would happen. Here's a tested hypothesis for you though, the corolla would be in much better shape that a Holden barina.

Anybody know how the Corolla Safe T Cell (get it Safety then T for Toyota) would go up against the Landcruiser Safety T Cell in a collision?

Joel should marry TP and live happily ever after driving into the sunset in matching widebody Camrys. Ha Ha Ha.

Lexus use Camry platforms it's a fact. Rear drive is reserved for the rich i.e Lexus and good luck to them too even if they have taste in their arse.

I'll make it simple for Joel and TP.
ESP = GOOD THING, ABS = GOOD THING
CARS THAT DRIVE THEMSELVES = PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
Get the idea?

The point I made about the Corolla is that every second or so Corolla morf bears no relation or DNA to the previous model. The name is the only thing that hasn't changed. On the other hand the VW beetle was not that far removed from how it originally started out. The Beetle is a deserving recipient of this tittle not the Corolla.

And didn't u know that any dickhead can contribute to Wikipedia even one eyed Toyota fanatics!

Realcars said: "Please don’t compare Toyota Lexus to BMW /Merc as u only show your ignorance."

Yeah it would be ignorant to compare those brands. After all the Lexus LF-A lapped the Nurburgring a good 20 seconds seconds faster than the best BMW/Merc offerings so it would be totally unfair to compare them.

realcars: \"More Jap gimmicks for gimmicks sake. Leave it to the Euros to make the developmental break through and Toyota and the other Japs can copy as usual.\"

Dude,

Firstly: do you call esp protecting idiots aswell?

Secondly: how do you come to the notion of a company inventing a new technology as coping?

Thirdly: With further development this could lead us into a new age of cars.

For example you could whack a GPS in the car in front and if that has to emergency brake, it could brake for you so you don\'t run up some idots bum because they felt like slamming on the brakes to save a birdy on the #@$#@ highway!

Blisten,
you would be correct to say most mod cons are a novelty item.
when i first had a vehicle with cruise control, i used it more in the first couple of weeks than i had in the many years after.
CD Player..........well once again im not one for cd's in the car. I'D rather listen to the radio for the better musicvariety and the comedy "Drive Time" shows.

trip computers are good/handy but i dont think you need more than one

GPS........well i still use a refidex. I'd rather see the whole picture but it is great for couriers

self parking........i can do it more quickly on my own, and well how often does one have to do it anyway?

i dont hate technology and gizmos by all means as i wouldnt have a car with out these........

remote locking (it sucks leaning over to unlock the passenger)

power windows (once again it sucks leaning over to wind down the passenger window and also dangerous whilst driving)

then there are the gizmos that arent novelty items
ABS
EBD
DSC
SRS etc etc
yep safety stuff

so power windows and remote locking isnt a novelty item as every one who has them uses it.
how many people do you see with a remote still throw the key in the door?

you would be correct to say most mod cons are a novelty item.
when i first had a vehicle with cruise control, i used it more in the first couple of weeks than i had in the many years after.
CD Player……….well once again im not one for cd’s in the car. I’D rather listen to the radio for the better musicvariety and the comedy “Drive Time” shows.

trip computers are good/handy but i dont think you need more than one

GPS……..well i still use a refidex. I’d rather see the whole picture but it is great for couriers

self parking……..i can do it more quickly on my own, and well how often does one have to do it anyway?

i dont hate technology and gizmos by all means as i wouldnt have a car with out these……..

remote locking (it sucks leaning over to unlock the passenger)

power windows (once again it sucks leaning over to wind down the passenger window and also dangerous whilst driving)

then there are the gizmos that arent novelty items
ABS
EBD
DSC
SRS etc etc
yep safety stuff

so power windows and remote locking isnt a novelty item as every one who has them uses it.
