Video: BMW 1 Series M Coupe review by SPEED

This is the first time we've seen a proper review of the brand-new 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe, and although it's kind of short and the quality isn't the best, it still offers a nice little drive impression of the car flat out on a race track.

Fitted with a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, the 250kW on tap seems to easily overwhelm the rear tyres - as the video shows. The interpretation also gives the impression that the new car is light on its feet, as predicted, but still manages to offer plenty of top end speed.

Road tester Chris Neville, a former race car driver, also emphasises how agile the new car is and how quick it turns and eats up tight corners on the race track.

Overall, an excellent little preview to the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe. Check it out below.
