Land Rover LRX flies into Melbourne
Land Rover has today announced it will air freight the stunning LRX concept into Australia this month for the upcoming 2008 Melbourne Motor Show.
Only the second concept car in Land Rover’s history, the LRX will arrive just weeks after impressing crowds at the Detroit Motor Show.
Land Rover upholds that that LRX is purely a concept, hopefully new owner Tata Motors may see the light and adapt the design as a production model.
Whilst its minimalistic “wheel-at-each-corner” stance would turn heads even in the trendiest of neighbourhoods, full-time four-wheel drive, Hill Descent Control and Land Rover’s Terrain Response couple with a turbo-diesel hybrid powertrain ensure the LRX is more than just a showpony.

Duck, I can’t see this making it to the road, but you’re right it will be V expensive despite being smaller than the Freelander. Land Rover have got too expensive for what they are, still there are plenty around.

It will make it to production, I can guarantee it. And it won’t be anything like $150K but well under $100K

I would say anything over 65K is too much. It is small apparently.

Don’t be an idiot duck. A Range Rover Vogue starts at $140,000 and its alot better and bigger than this - I saw it at the Detroit motor show and I have a vogue and a sport back in Adelaide - MASSIVE size difference. Also why would Land Rover price it like that - everyone would just buy a Range Rover or no Land Rover at all.

Under 100K???
I have my doubts, but if they do… then it would be severely “watered down” version of the one they showed in the motorshow..
this vehicle was stunning, I have to just say it was one of the cars to see when i went.
I would wait for the final specs, production specs, surely Land Rover will not bother if the performance will take a big hit to sell for under 100k… but if they do.. then I’d love to know how they can manage it so i can use it for my design propositions.
Im thinking 150~170K

It is the sub Freelander so it’ll be the the cheapest thing they sell.
It does look good.

I have already read alot of things saying that it’s going to be the new baby land rover and that it would be priced at about $40,000. I have read more than 1 article saying so and like I wrote before - they wouldn’t price it there because everybody would just buy Range Rovers instead.
