2011 Aston Martin Cygnet White and Black limited editions

Aston Martin has launched two special edition versions of the new Toyota iQ-based city car, the Aston Martin Cygnet. Simply called the Aston Martin Cygnet Black and Cygnet White, each car is detailed in either a dark theme - with matte black features, or a brighter theme with chrome and white finishes.

The Aston Martin Cygnet Black is painted in a special Magic Black metallic paint which offers a deep green pearl. Select exterior details are then matched to the dark bodywork, with features like a matte black grille, two matte black Satin stripes and diamond-cut 16 inch alloy wheels with black detailing making up the exterior design.

Inside the car is also treated in full Pure Black leather.

The Aston Martin Cygnet White is quite the opposite. It features a bright Snow White paint job and gets a number of chrome-finish details, such as the front grille and bonnet vents, as well as chrome-capped side mirrors. The same diamond-cut 16 inch wheels are included only they feature white detailing.

The interior is similar to the Black edition as well only it features a Pure White leather layout with silver highlights.

Both cars also feature a bespoke luggage kit which includes an exclusively-made five piece set designed by Bill Amberg. The set includes a glove box bag and a removable door pocket bag.

These limited edition models are now on sale at Aston Martin dealers around Europe. Prices start at £30,995 (around AU$49,900) for the base model.

Aston Martin is apparently looking to expand the Cygnet's market and hopes to introduce the car into other international areas by 2012.
