2021 Jeep new cars

Jeep's current showrooms around Australia are stocked with relatively fresh metal, including an updated Compass, new Gladiator and the reasonably-new Wrangler.

The 'JL' Wrangler range is set for a shake-up in 2021, with a new blacked-out Night Eagle specification joining the ranks. The Sport S also returns as the cheapest Wrangler variant, which is currently priced from $51,950 in Limited (two-door) configuration.

While the short-wheelbase Rubicon returns briefly in limited-run Recon specification, Jeep has culled the diesel-powered Wrangler Rubicon from the ranks.

An entry-level Sport S variant of the Gladiator will also arrive in the first quarter of 2021.

That means all Wranglers are powered by the same long-serving 3.6-litre petrol V6, which makes 209kW and 347Nm.

However, our small right-hook market will miss out on exciting new models like Wrangler 392 V8, Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid, and diesel-powered Gladiator. Jeep's new large luxury SUV, the Grand Wagoneer, is also unlikely for Australia.
